Mere Coen’sk end Coen? Fargo-seriens opskrift på succes
VIDEO-ESSAY. Imitation er ofte første skridt på vejen mod originalitet. Det beviser Noah Hawley med FX-serien Fargo fra 2014/15, der stiller sig på skuldrene af Coen-brødrenes film af samme navn fra 1996 og elegant springer ud på egne ben. Problemet er blot, at Hawley imiterer et film-univers, mens Coen-brødrene imiterer virkeligheden. Og netop derfor kommer man til at savne den originale Coen’ske signatur, som Hawley ellers er så god til at efterligne.
