Rasmus Helms

Born in 1995, Rasmus Helms holds a Master’s degree in Film & Media Studies from the University of Copenhagen, as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film Production from Chapman University. Embodying a global transience, shaped by international upbringing, his Master’s thesis: “A Culture War: Navigating the National & Transnational Divide in Modern Cinema” was an investigation into the cross-continental work of several arthouse film directors, investigating how national and transnational markings manifest themselves through their films. Meanwhile, his short films have screened at several festivals and online platforms, including Oaxaca FilmFest and Ekko Shortlist.
