Jonathan Frome is a PhD candidate in film studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he teaches film history and video production. His primary work centers around theorizing spectator responses to art. He is writing a dissertation about emotional responses to film and video games. He has also written papers on documentary film, East Asian cinema, and animation history.
